Organizing institution: Weatherspoon Art Museum, UNC Greensboro
This was the 19th Annual invitational exhibition of 20th century American drawings, watercolors, and other unique works on or of paper, sponsored by the Weatherspoon Guild and underwritten by a grant from Dillard Paper Company. Works by artists of national and local significance were invited individually or through art dealers in New York and elsewhere. Purchases for the Dillard Collection included works by John D. Graham (1881-1961), Robert Carvin, Robert Longo, Sylvia Plimack Mangold, and Ann Carter Pollard. Several works were donated by individuals interested in building the collection.
